"Henry C. was raised by Harry Hinton of Hurricane Township"
From DNA Family 7 member: 176380
Henry Davidson was the father of Theodore Clinton who was a son by a third marriage of Henry Davidson whose first two wives died, but with children also. Henry Davidson's father was John and his mother Elizabeth Spencer Davidson are listed in the 1850 census with children. All, John and the eldest children and wife, coming into IL from TN with other family members after a short stay in IN and in IL by 1830. Other family members of John were his father Blane L, brothers James and Nicholas. A sister named Mary/Polly Davidson who was apparently widowed and must have married another Davidson. Probate shows that Elizabeth Spencer died on Jan 13, 1857 noting that her husband, John, had died the preceding year of 1856. Probate records indicate that Blane L, the father of John, bought a coffin for his wife in Oct of 1838. A sale bill of goods and chattel on Dec 6, 1845 lists Blane L as being deceased.
