Grace Virginia (Garrett) Conyer, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center.
Grace was born in Gibson County, Indiana, on October 6, 1921, to the late David Eli and Cordia Garrett. She worked at Republic Aviation as a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II. Grace retired from Windsor Plastics and was of the Baptist Faith. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband, J. Robert.
Grace is survived by her twin sons, Stanley Conyer (Ruth), of Columbus, Ind., Steven Conyer (Shirley), of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Jean Price, of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Michele Conyer, of Indianapolis, Ind., Jeremy Conyer (Rachelle), of Brownstown, Ind., Scott Conyer (Lorilea), of Louisville, Ky., Shelley Hotz (Chris), of Evansville, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Kirstie Rascoe, Nathaniel Conyer, Elizabeth Conyer.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, J. Robert Conyer; and many brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711, with Rev. Rick Porter officiating. Entombment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may visit from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Browning Funeral Home.
