Olive Ione Kingry, 93, died Saturday, 26 Jul 2008 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
Olive was born 15 Jan 1915 at Flowerfield, Nebraska, to Glenn and Rhoda (English) Williams. She attended school at Harrisburg, Nebraska. She married Edgar J. Kingry on 7 Apr 1934 in Bridgeport, Nebraska. They had four children, Edward, Marvin, Gordon, and Lois.
Olive taught school in rural Box Butte County for more than 22 years. She was also actively involved with Edgar in their farming operation northwest of Alliance. After 12 years of farming, Edgar became a rural mail carrier and they moved to town.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, and 43 year member of the High View Club.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Jack Aspden of Lake McConaughy, Nebraska; her daughter-in-law, Virginia Kingry of Denver, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and her three sons, Edward, Marvin, and Gordon.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 30 Jul 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel. Norma Jensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Online condolences may be left at http://www.batesgould.com;
