Nancy Jane Davidson Lynn Millikan Bateman was the daughter of Samuel Davidson and Sarah Riley. I do not know any further back at this time. Nancy went by the name of Nan also. Her death cert. has it as Nan. She married G.W. Lynn 4-8-1880 in Crittenden County, Ky. and had one daughter Georgianna Lynn, then she married Jasper Newton Millikan 5-8-1881. This was both of their second marriages. They had 7 children together (Jasper had 6 or 7 by his first wife Mary Isabelle Hardin), when Jasper died she then married a Joseph Henry Bateman and she helped raised his children also. Nancy and Jaspers daughter Cordie (also spelled Cordia) was my grandmother. Their other children together were Rosa (Roseeta), Sopha (Sophia), Minnie, Roy, Ray, and Wallace.

Note: Per Bob Rice, a clipping from the Cynthiana paper states that LG Davidson died in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky

"I remember Yater's store well. As a youngster there was Scott's store
and Yater's there at "Guy" on the Buckeye Pike. My father later owned
the land that the store was on. My grandmother lived nearby and I spent
many summers there. "
"I sure wish I could give you more information but I'm afraid not. When I
think back to that store I can still smell the various aromas of stick
candy plug tobacco etc. As I remember the front porch was high and steps
were on the left side. Their house was up the hill behind the store
about 200 feet. I remember there were children but I don't remember any
one in particular. They must have moved into town as the store building
was empty by the time I was in high school. The farm surrounding their
home and store at that time was owned by my uncle Guy Davidson and that
is where the community got the name "Guy". The only picture I have is in
my mind. The road has been changed and a new bridge built over "Sugar
Creek" so it would be hard to locate the site. After a few years after
my father died the heirs were restless and the farm was sold and I have
not been back since.
There are a few Yaters here in Madison County but I have no idea if they
are part of your family. This isn't much help but I have enjoyed
reminiscing with you." note from Robert Rice concerni
ng :"Yaters store" on Buckeye Pike.
