General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Davidson

I added Benjamin here because a Benjamin provided surety at Samuel's wedding to Eunice Creasy
A sister of Rebecca married brother of Eunice Creasey, and a brother of Rebecca married a sister of Eunice.

There is a Find A Grave Entry for Benjamin, which shows his death date as 1810, but no proof or cemetery.

Nov 30, 1791 Benjamin Davidson Rebeckah Neuman Nimrod Neuman married by Mennah Lesley Benjamin and John Davidson bondsmen. John and Samuel Davidson witnesses, Campbell County, Va married Dec-08-1791

Dec. 24, 1791; Samuel Davison & Eunice Creasey, dt Thomas; Benjamin Davison, Surety; Married by Joseph Drury, Dec. 29, 1791.(Bedford)

There is a Benjamin Davidson family in Washington Va, that some Internet trees show as Benjamin and Rebecca. This Benjamin supposedly died in 1830, in Bedford. Some internet trees show Ben dying in 1800 and that Rebecca later married James B Kennedy. It is very possible that this is Ben and Rebecca in Washington Co, as Rebbecca's father did have land in adjacent Grayson County, Va. Nimrod Newman's older children married in Grayson County. The original Washington County, VA in addition to containing some of the other present day surrounding counties also contained what is today, Sullivan County, TN. Sullivan County is next to Washington Co, Va, southwest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have shown birth data as before 1770, based on being 21 at marriage, and 21 first showing up in tax records.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One researcher claimed there was a Benjamin that was contemporary with the group that settled for a time in Carter County, TN. Logical that it was this Ben.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Benjamin appears 1791, 1792 and 1793 Bedford County Tithes, next to a Samuel, First appearance in 1791 is next to a John. Assuming John is the father. In 1794, the rest of the presumed family is listed, but Benjamin disappears.

Notes from Rene Curley <curley.rene00@gmail.com>.
"Benjamin J. Davidson was my great-grandfather. His daughter Lorraine Helen married Byron Connelly (I noticed you didn't have Byron's first name, so thought I'd share that.) They kept both the Davidson family home in Havre, MT as well as a 500 acre ranch in the Bear Paw Mountains that Byron inherited from his uncle, Tom Goin. Byron is buried on the ranch, although the ranch has passed out of family hands. I still have the branding irons from the ranch, though. My mother is Shirlee Sunderhauf, also listed in your family tree. She is Shirlee Sunderhauf Curley, married to Bernard Neal Curley (both still living), and they have two children - me, Rene' Lynnette Curley b. 3/25/63, and my brother Darrin Neal Curley b. 5/9/1966. I have a few photos of Ben Davidson and some of his family members. He was a locomotive engineer on the Great Northern Railway. I also have photos of most of his children. My grandmother, Mae Arthurine, is buried in Bremerton, WA, but the others are buried in Havre, MT and I have visited their grave sites in the past. "

Mrs. Pearl V. Davidson Is Summoned

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home for Mrs. Pearl V. Davidson, 1129 Fifth street, the widow of a Havre locomotive engineer. Mrs. Davidson is to be buried at Highland cemetery at the side of her husband, Ben J. Davis, who died in 1936.

Mrs. Davidson, who was born in Morrisville, N.Y., on April 18, 1877, died at 1 p.m. Monday at Bremerton, Wash. She was 77 years old. Death came unexpectedly, Mrs. Davis having been in apparent good health only the day previous.

She came to Montana in 1893, to Glasgow, and two years later came to Havre. She and Mr. Davidson were married here Dec. 13, 1895.

Surviving are her sons, Leon and Pearl Davidson, and a daughter, Mrs. Byron Connolly, in Havre, and another daughter and son, Mrs. Floyd Sunderhauf and Ted Davidson, Bremerton, Wash., and a son, Ben, Pendleton, Ore.

For the past ten years she had made her home in Havre with Mrs. Connolly.
