Earl E Rentfro, 55, of Effingham, Illinois died 3:50 PM Wednesday March 20, 1974 in St Anthony Hospital, Effingham, Illinois. He was the brother of Truman Rentfro of Mattoon, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday, in Effingham (Illinois) First Christian Church. Burial will be in Rentfro Cemetery, Shumway, Illinois. Friends may call from 3 to 9 PM today at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, Illinois.

Mr. Rentfro was born in Effingham County, Illinois the son of Avery and Pearl Webb Rentfro. He married Margaret Combest in Shelbyville, Illinois March 30, 1940. She survives.

Also surviving are four sisters; Mrs. Laura Logan of Continental, Ohio; Mrs. Homer Riley of Lockport, Indiana; Mrs. Fred Patterson of Strasburg, Illinois; and Mrs. Beulah Martin of Effingham, Illinos; two other brothers, Arthur of Altamont, Illinois; and Leland 0f Rock Island, Illinois.

Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Rentfro was chief Electrician with the Fedders Corporation in Effingham, Illinois. He was a member of Electricial Union 105 and the First Christian Church in Effingham, Illinois.

"Benjamin J. Davidson was my great-grandfather. His daughter Lorraine Helen married Byron Connelly (I noticed you didn't have Byron's first name, so thought I'd share that.) They kept both the Davidson family home in Havre, MT as well as a 500 acre ranch in the Bear Paw Mountains that Byron inherited from his uncle, Tom Goin. Byron is buried on the ranch, although the ranch has passed out of family hands. I still have the branding irons from the ranch, though."
