That part of the country is still "hick town USA". It was bad when I was a kid, dirt roads then. The roads are paved now, at least. Foster-Davidson March 16, 1904, Appomattox and Buckingham Times
Foster - Davidson Wedding at Seven Islands
Wednesday evening, March 9, a few friends assembled at "Seven Island," the home of Mr. and Mrs. N M. Gregory to witness the marriage of Miss Mary Josephine Foster, of Bedford county, to Mr. J. W. Davidson, of Appomattox. Just as the sun was setting the bridal party entered the parlor in the following manner: Mre. N. M. Gregory, sister of the bride, with her brother-in-law, Mr. C.L. Snoddy; then came the bride and groom. The bride wore a spring tailor-made suit. trimmed in braid and steel buttons, with white gloves ami chiffon hat.

The iimpressive ceremony was performed by Rev. JJ Spencer. Immediately after the ceremony the party entered the dining room where they partook of a nice supper given by Mr. and Mrs. Gregory.

Miss Foster made many ffriends while visiting in Buckingham, who are loath to give her up. Mr.Davidson is well known in both Appomattox and. Buckingham.

They received some nice presents from friends in Lynchburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Davidson left Tliutuloy morning for their home in Appomattox. May their life be one of happiness and prosperity, with just clouds enough to make a beautiful sunset.
