C1736 who migrated from Tyrone County Ireland to Virginia. Doswell
Rogers' son William Rogers was born 10/14/1763 in Halifax Co. Va.
Doswell Rogers was on the New River in present day Grayson Co. area on
the 1770 list of Tithables for Botetourt Co. Va. Doswell Rogers dies in
Hawkins Co. TN in 1809, buied at Windale, Washington Co., Va. Joan Tuft
found a 1797 land transfer from Doswell Rogers to the heirs of John
Parker listed above in Grayson Co. Va. This fits in with Joseph Parker
b. 1752 above and my Grandfather Joseph Parker b. 1887 comments about the
Parkers being from Ireland, Joseph Parker b. 1752 specifically stated
that his family was from Northern Ireland.

She was the oldest daughter of Tom Davidson, one of Brookneals earliest residents, and was born in the the old home once located at Little Falling river, opposite the town. She was educated in the country school and finished at a private girls institution which used to be in Brookneal, and bean her career as teacher at the tender age of 17? Years. She was married in April 1884 to Granville T Mason, but continued to teach as long as her eyesight permitted, which was about 38? Years…………………She was born Feb 19, 1861, and married Granville T Mason, April 23, 1884. To this union were born four children, all living at present time, Leonard, the eldest living at Dadl? Ontario, Canada, Claude, in New Jersey, Grace J Matter, near Brookneal, and Merle the ??residing on the farm where she has spent most of her married life and where she died.
