Wm McQuerry Sr served Col Wm Byrd's Regiment in 1758 in Virginia. Proved to the Court in Lincoln County, Kentucky.
William McQuerry appears on a list of Persons sworn to the States in Capt. Daniel Trigg's Company on the 6 Oct, 1777. Signed byJudge CW Crush. They did settle in and area of Lincoln County referred to Goshen(the land of milk and honey). Old Crab Orchard Ky.

Per posting by Mary Gimmy: The earliest McQuerry I can tie into my line was William McQ settled in Lincoln Co., Ky prior to 1787 near Sugar Creek. He came from Virginia. In 1758 he served in Col. Bird's 2nd Regiment in the French Indian War. Col. George Washington was in command of the first Regt. abd Col. Bird the 2nd. As a veteran, William received the land grant in Amherst Co., Va. in 1768. He sold it in 1773 His wife was Amaidore Massey I have Archibald McQ, Absalom McQ; and a John McQuerry who are predecessors of this William B. 1730 D. 1804 His brother John married Nancy Shepherd Ch. of Wm and Amiadore=-William, Jr. maried Sarah Alcorn Elizabeth-Abner Davidson Rebecca -Abner Davidson Daniel-- Sally Holland Samuel-Mary Young Massa(Massy) Andrew Williams *****Joseph-Miriam Galloway 1775-1822 I have a note that Daniel McQ married Elizabeth Thompson 21 June 1809. This must havebeen his first marriage because the one to Sally Holland was 29 Feb 1825.
