Note: In 1810 Buckingham County census, Powell Hughes, John Neighbors and Nathan Neghbors were listed next to each other. (son Stephens wife family, Josiahs wifes family)
Consent by John Bryan Sr, father of the bride. John Cole and David Barnett were witnesses to marriage ; Joseph Davidson provided surety. Since he appears to be listed in Campbell County as John Jr next to John Sr, I assume his father is John. I believe he was family 7 due to Joseph providing surety. Married 4 December 1785 by James Kenney -- with the groom listed as "Dawson"

Bill's thoughts, (tunnelm@verizon.net) on connection between Micajah Davidson (born in Buckingham Va in 1808 and moved to Smith Co, TN when he was 2):
There were no Davidsons on the 1820 Smith Co., TN census. There were only two Davidsons on the 1810 Buckingham census who were not still in Buckingham in 1820. These were John Davidson and Lewis Davidson. Both men were over the age of 45, and both men had four males in their homes who were all under the age of 10. I don't know what happened to Lewis Davidson, but I am reasonably confident that this John Davidson was the older of the two John Davidsons who were on the 1820 Wilson Co., TN census (which shares a border with Smith Co., TN). I am also reasonably confident that the above John Davidson was the same John Davidson who obtained land in Buckingham Co., VA in 1792 .The younger John Davidson in Wilson Co., TN in 1820 was probably a son of the older John Davidson, and he was probably the male who was in the home of the older John Davidson in 1810 in Buckingham who was shown as age 16-26 in 1810.

Notable Souther Families, Vol II:
John Andrew Bryan, and wife Mary Morrison, moved to Burden County, near Fairfield, Rockbridge County, about the same time (sometime after 1742) that William (his brother) and Margaret Watson Bryan moved to Staunton River settlement. This John Bryan is thought to have been at the battle of Great Meadows, 1754, Captain Peter Hogg's Company.
John Andrew Bryan and Mary and family proceeded to the Staunton River, where he became owner of land upon a part of which Salem is now situated. He left the Staunton River in 1763-64, traded his land for a pair of cart-wheels, and moved with his family to (present) Campbell County, Va. Here he bought 329 acres of Richard Stith and 429 acres of Benjamin Arnold. On the last named tract, he at once erected a bark hut about two miles Southeast of Rustburg, and later built a house farther down on the other branch (Molly's Creek). A lot on the place was used as a muster ground for many years after the Revolution.
The children of John Andrew and Marry Morrison Bryan were:
1. William, born 1744, married Mary
2. Andrew Morrisin, born April 25, 1748, died April 20, 1821, married Mary Akers
3. Mary, born May 27, 1750, died young.
4. Margaret, born March 14, 1752, married first, Daniel Mitchell;second, Patrick Gibson.
5. John, married Catherine Evans.
6. Jane, born May 16, 1761, married John Davidson
7. Agnes, born August 9, 1763, married first, John Akers; second, Reuben Bagby.
8. Catherine, born Oct 21, 1765.
